This knotboard is made by skilled, efficient craftsmen who reproduce the ancient skills. The knots are tied in natural cotton cord on a black velveteen background and displayed in glass fronted wood frames with chunky brass corners. In learning to tie them, apprentices found that knotboards served as useful references and displays of the skill. Today they are popular showpieces in yacht clubs, restaurants, pubs and homes.
